STIGMA & INCLUSION: Addressing Stigma Through Social Inclusion

Awareness about mental health has come along way thanks to the Americans with Disabilities Act and a surgeon general’s report in 1999, but there is still a long way to go. An article originally published in 2013 in the American Journal of Public Health cites several other advances that have been made in recent years, but makes a plea for social inclusion.
