Being diagnosed with bipolar disorder will by no means keep you from being able to work, but it might pose challenges on the job. Dr. Nina Moadel, M.D. recommends disclosing such a diagnosis to the employer in order to be able to request accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
