HEALTH & WELLNESS: Cognitive Training for Schizophrenia

A number of Putnam Clubhouse members recently joined a cutting-edge research study involving the use of computerized cognitive training exercises (imagine something like computer games) shown to improve brain functioning for people with schizophrenia. A better performing brain is obviously something that would help anyone be more successful at work!

Dr. Woolley, an Assistant Professor in Residence of Psychiatry at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and the University of California San Francisco (UCSF),  gave a presentation at the Clubhouse in March to explain his team’s cognitive brain-training study and other exciting research that addresses social functioning.
